20091016-Knife catcher. Quite effective so far since March 2009, but notice how this strategy underperforms the market uptrend, and then gaps up each time to meet the underbelly. Could be melded with another strategy or the underlying market it tracks, while this strategy is in cash.

20090530-Starting coverage. Somewhat shaky, forming triangle pattern around 3/2008 and 12/2008. Higher potential to drop to $15k in the next 6 months than gain right now. 20091021-Descending triange. Peeks 2/2008, 2/2009. New peek 2/2010? Then drop from 19000 about 20% (comes from peek 22500 to base 18500). I should note this system while it is struggling for the past two years, a long term turtle would say.. stick with it.

20090323- Uptrend smoothing out. Looking good so far, other than the rough start. 20090423-Trade this one on it's support line. Beware if it breaks below its uptrend, you may be in for a wild ride. 20090616-Beware. Wait for it to break the current downtrend line started mid 5/2009. 20091021-Warning. Third successive lower high. Could drop depth of height from May high to July low within the next month to fulfill a descending triangle pattern at the 75-80% completion mark.

20090530-Starting coverage. Wow! Tracking. Uses 30 ES contracts at 990k, means 1368000 movement. This is approximately 1.5 : 1 margin being used on an all cash portfolio. 409.9% ann, 1.68 sharpe. 20091016-Beware, Lower low, consider lowering exposure to this system. System operator stated a change in Oct 2009 that he was going to drop the very short term timeframe (intraday) in favor of a daily/multi-day timeframe. 231.% Ann, 1.36 Sharpe. 20091021-Carved out new low. If that low turns into resistance, expect pain back to Feb 2009 levels. There's probably another 4-5% correction in store. Hard to make a bull case, because the inverted H&S is at the end of an uptrend (instead of a downtrend). 20100104-In Elliot Wave fashion, this equity curve is headed for major pain if it breaks below it's October 2008 highs. However, if it holds the current level and reverses higher, Elliot might say this strategy is headed for a 162% rise from the Aug 2008 low to August 2009 high. Generally, though the major trendlines of the 2008 to mid 2009 rise have been broken. Caution.

Trade the regular signals., but set a stop if the system equity goes below the 20k mark on this chart. 20090530-Heed previous comment closely. Still downtrending, will be making a decision soon whether it will tank or float. 20091021-Ok, it chose to tank. It did start making some bull H&S. Watch for a pop up to June 2009 levels.

One hit wonder. The Cumulative P/L is based on the firs trade the system made. If you got in for the 1st trade, good for you. If not, good luck, since there are no new entry points/trades. Avoid this one buy system. Hey, if you could short it, wait for the second shoulder (of this almost head & shoulders pattern starting 11/07) to form in the next 3 months (around 11/08). 12/10/08: Fulfilled H&S. Next stop may be severely negative. 20090323-If this were a stock, I'd short it at the peaks of the downtrend line.

I think I see ascending triangles forming! =) 8/2008. I was wrong. 11/5/2008: Looks like a Feb 2009 will be a difficult month for this system, if the long term H&S pattern continues. Currently at maybe 75% of the pattern. 12/10/2008: Very ugly H&S continuing to form. I think I see a head & shoulders pattern forming. (8/2008) Yep, shoulder #2 forming (8/30/08). Personally, this is quite a bear pattern, this could represent a drop back to 140k, then to fulfill the H&S, a subsequent fall to 115k or lower. Since we're heading into September of an election year, consider scaling back on this system. My analysis was fulfilled. The H&S completed, but went down to 80k, and seems to be rebounding as of Nov 2008. 2/4/09: this strategy will have a hard time breaking above 20% ann for 2009. 20090323- Currently in a strong bullish stair stepping uptrend. Very good sign.

Compound Ann Ret 58.5%. Looks fairly solid, but extremely costly at $695/mo. 2/4/09 Going parabolic/ at parabolic peak? Someone threw a stone and plotted it against this chart. 20090323- I'd go inverse of this strategy before I'd go with it. Slumping. Wait for it to break it's previous October high before jumping on. 20090423-Still topping. Might be going parabolic. 20090530-Forming plateau. Commissions will be chewing into profits soon. 20090616-Beware: "Over the hill." Wait for it to break the downtrend started 1/2009. 20091021-Meandering around plateau. Faint Bull H&S forming.

Compound Ann Return 3870324.2% ? But the chart shows a drop from 160K 7/14/2008 to 40K 7/29/2008 currently. Now at -100.0% return after 66 trades, uh oh.

I like! 68.4% as of 7/30/2008. Good trending long term history. Excellent Sharpe Ratio at 2.49. Warning, a pattern is forming and near 95% completion as of 11/5/2008: Descending triangle. Continuing with this strategy could drop this system to $45k by December 2008. Descending triangle still in place. Set your stops if this system goes below $45k. Sharpe ratio as of 12/10/08 1.40 2/4/09 Descending triangle fulfilled. Seems to have formed a base around 50k. 20090323- Back to dancing with the long term uptrend. Very good sign. 20090406-Wedge pattern observed. Peak 1 ~10/2008; peak 2 ~2/2009. Bottom of wedge line is the long term uptrend. Consider placing a stop if profit curve drops below 50k. 20090423-This system is poised for a breakout above 60k. Continuation/ascending triangle appears to be forming. 20091021-Lots of promise. Pretty good trend. Moved from C2 to their own site. Some of their comments may have been taken as: the emotional, buy at the top, cry on -5% drawdown, C2 subscriber base was hurting their feelings. :) Sorry guys, that's how it came off.

Very nice pattern. Stair stepping. must have stop losses in place and a couple days breathing in between. 20090423- Went into holding pattern as of 1/2009.

Looks awesome, right? Now turn on "Realism Factor, with commission" and the reality kicks in. 20091021-Has not traded in quite a while. Took some exposure in Oct 2009, but relatively uneventful. Operator should switch commission model until activity/performance resumes.
