Be sure to look at the costs of this system after fees and commissions. It is an eye opener. And don't forget to look at all the other systems of this vendor.

One crash - maybe it was bad luck.

Two crashes - maybe it is a warning sign...

Someone asked me why I bash a great looking system like "Daily Income." Here is my basis...

IT IS ALL ABOUT COSTS. Here's why:

To include the impact of fees, I ran the personalization chart from November 5, 2009 to present. That is 6,421 trades. I assume a Gen 3 broker, charging $5 commission per contract round trip plus $1.99 Gen 3 fee round trip. So, total $6.99 per contract RT cost - $3.49 per side. I also included subscription costs.

Results:

No fees: $68,000 profit from 11/5 to present - equity increased from about $20K to $88K

With fees: $40,000 loss from 11/5 to present - equity decreased from about $20K to -$20K

So, the difference when you account for fees is GIGANTIC with this system.

I realize this is after the fact analysis, and in hindsight it is easy to see why this system and all its subscribers perished. But here goes...

In late May this system was at a new equity height. All looked well. BUT, if you looked at individual trades, you'd notice that the developer would put on on initial trade, and if it became profitable he kept it and liquidated later at a profit. If the trade turned into a loser, he kept adding to the position. DANGER SIGN!

If you see this in other systems, ask the developer what his rules are for adding to existing trades. If you can get solid rules, ones that the developer has never violated, you can design around this "adding to losers" concept. It might actually be OK to do, within limits.

BUT most developers panic when things go bad - and violate their rules - if they even have them. Then adding to losers becomes a disastorous concept. And you'll pay the price.

I love it when the developer has friends or aliases tell us how great his system is. Like the rest of us are complete buffoons.

Applying lipstick to a pig never helps.

56% max drawdown.

I predict this will be under 50K before Oct 31, 2010.

10 margin calls in less than 2 months. Is that the sign of a professional vendor - one who is looking out for your money?

When asked about drawdown, developer said this to another member:
"My friend Joseph D, sometimes we are looking at the tree and miss the forest. So you preoccupy yourself with things meaningless and you do not look at the excellent profits of the system. The important is not how you make the profits, but how many profits you make. Okay?"

We all know where this system is headed...I predict under 100K sometime between now and Oct 31, 2010.

Another good example of why you should not subscribe based on first month performance.
