My background is in mathematical finance and economics.
Enjoy financial markets and trading models analysis. Great fun!
Certainly, there are systems on C2 that I find workable.
Unfortunately, I can't add them to my page since some members on C2 would chose to believe that I own the systems I like.
I have been a subscriber here long enough to be well aware of such unfortunate sentiment.
Fortunately,
C2 Analytics (Advanced Statistics module contributed by Jules Ellis, C2 Member) is an outstanding risk management tool made available to C2 members.
I use it for my risk evaluations. Then I use my own mathematical indicators to time my entries and exits from systems.
Everything else is just another personal subjective opinion, no matter how many red stars they attach to it.

05/23/12 $6 charge for $17 trade. 6/17 = 35% fee!!! Even the best hedge funds in the world don't charge that much. But a system with 5 losing months in a row does.
Pricey patience.

05/18/12 Poor Kingda! He has not been on C2 long enough to know that averaging down/up is Martingale, by the definition accepted on C2 long before his arrival.
Counter-trend trading means bottom picking in GBP/USD at the moment by the Kingda systems.
Old trading wisdom says that "bottom-pickers become cotton-pickers".
Kingda counter-trend systems double the risk before being stopped out. Therefore stops will not help them in a long run - simple math clearly shows that.
05/23/12 Much ado about nothing...

4/30/11 How does vendor Igor manage his " genuine winning trading system" to achieve:
" Keep after worst-case slippage -213.2 %
# Profitable = 87 (54%) ("high probability", says Igor)
Sharpe Ratio = 0.22 "?
What kind of a trading method does he apply here?
Vendor Igor answers:
"Of course this method only applies to genuine winning trading systems, not "systems" that simply use suicidal double-your-bet-when-you-lose martingale type of trading." (see Chatter)
And, of course, it requires "a lot of experience in chart reading ' as Igor claims.( see System Description) '.
Truly Pro, Igor.

The vendor wrote in one of his posts recently:
"what if that guy fall sick of schizophrenia and one day he risk the entire account in a binary bet?" (see Forums).
Should we worry about the vendor making such bet one day himself as well?
Or is the vendor immune to getting sick himself?
He also wrote in response to my question the following (see forums):
"Good due dilligence includes know everything about the manager. DNA certificate? Vaccination certifiace? mental health certificate? If you invest serious money and dont ask for that, then you are making a bad investment."
In response to post by Ms Naivete of 4/26/11 (16:25)

Hugo,
So, without having your vaccination certificates posted here, invesing in your systems is "a bad investment" as you wrote.
Do I follow your logic correctly?
Thanks, Hugo.

The vendor had answered as follows(see forums):
"No 100% correctly.
Read this way: you want invest in me? feel free to ask any health certificate you want. Its your right. In Good due dilligence, never there is enough. The grade of due dilligence depends of the investor.
Be sure that if I have only 1 million to invest in you, I will ask for the color of your wee."
Can we follow his logic?
I doubt it.
So, what do we know about the vendor, as the manager of his system, along the lines he had himself suggested as above?
We can only read his empty words about "due dilligence " and the put down of C2 analytics.
His words are empty for the following reason.
If we can't rely on C2 Analytics to be applied to his performance (he wrote on the forum that C2 analytics ratios were useless), why would we even bother to do the due diligence on him as the vendor?
He has no track record for us to analyze and had suggested on the forum that the C2 ratios were of no help due to a possible illness attack.

4/20/11 The trades taken on 3/11/11 demonstrate his unfortunate tendency to short a strong upward bias in EUR/USD, and double his initial position size against the odds ( from 3 to 6).
Some call it Martingale-like trading.
12.09% DD on one of the above trades is not exactly a small fixed risk as the vendor claims.
Or what is a small fixed risk after all by his definition?
"I intend to keep risk at around 3% per position."
So, why there was the DD 4 times larger than his intended risk?
04/25/11
It appears that the long trades on 4/25/11 were taken against the downward bias.
The system seems to be unable to detect correctly the EUR/USD bias of late.
Add his above average slippage, near average accuracy and win/loss near 1.
Conclusion: too risky for me now.
04/26/11 Seems like the vendor is losing confidence in his own system now. He wrote(see forum): " I'm making these changes due to the recent draw down, because I found myself placing all trades at an equal weight even though some positions had a higher chance to win than others. I feel this should help preserve equity and limit future draw downs."
"I found myself..." Does it imply that he had lost himself during the draw down instead of following his system without emotion and hesitation?
I have been studying C2-listed systems, trying to find out what trading and risk management methods work the best. I have found that, generally, an FX system using support/resistance combined with 30-40 pips stops will be subject to severe DDs.
Case in point - Snake Eyes. Initially, it had performed really well, then had gone thru some severe DDs, etc.

Here is what vendor BK wrote while participating in the forum with another vendor:
"NFA rules prevent posting of certifcates as they are not indicative of performance.
But, Ms Naivete, if you ask nicely, perhaps Hugo will email copies of the ones you seek starting with his colonoscopy certificate. "

Clearly, a shining testimony to his indepth medical knowledge and professionalism.
"Colonoscopy" has been on his mind while writing on the forum and monitoring his systems .
Is he using it instead of C2 analytics?
We shall see how his "colonoscopy" analysis/indicator works for Revel in the future.

Such deep medical competence, vendor BK. You think deep...
However, it seems your proprietary "colonoscopy" indicator is not working for Acturus.

1) Chance of 10% account loss 12.2%
Chance of 20% account loss 7.1%
2) Best month = 21.1%, worst month = - 6.7%
3) Max dd = 25.6%
4) Correlation w/ S&P = 0.471 - positive enough.
5) Avg trade duration = 1.4 days - over night
Based on th above 5 objective parameters, Zero is not really worth the risk and fee at the moment. Will need hedging in the upcoming stock market correction, since it is not always easy to obtain stocks for shorting even under normal stock market conditions.

Correlation w/ S&P 0.461 is weak but positive enough. So, as soon as SP500 drops, the following happens:
10/4/10 9:31 BUY 571 AKAM 48.56 10/7 9:30 44.66 Extreme ($2,227)
10/19/10 The vendor is surprisingly verbose via the forum for a physicist, very unlike some physicists I know. Seems like he is using the forum to promote his systems.
Well, if 0.461 is weak, as he says, how about 0.07? It would be a lot safer than 0.461 during an S&P correction.
