| | How about this idea .. with FXCM Hedging facility
Start a position as Hedged position in same pair
No SL, NO TP to be set
Then when things go in one direction... stop the loosing position and then put on a Trailing SL and a relative TP on the winning position !
can somebody design a simple EA for this!
Say position goes 50 pips in one directions
Take loss -50, Profit position is held open with Trailing stop at say 10 pips and Take profit at say 70
Worst case = -10 loss
best = + 20

Lets take one part of your example.
Why pay commissions on two positions then close one position after it moves 50 pips?
Why not wait for it to move 50 pips then place your order for the one position with your stops. You save on commissions.
I don't agree with your methodology, but that is another discussion. |

What is the C2 Score?
Collective2 rates every trading advisor in its database and assigns a score between 100 and 1000.
In general, a rating above 500 is good. A rating above 700 is excellent.
Collective2 Ratings are recalculated daily based on the entire performance history in our database. The exact formula we use is proprietary, but there are several key variables that go into the Collective2 Rating. One of the most important factors is the length of time we have been able to observe the performance of the trader. Another key factor is the amount by which the trader over-performs or under-performs the S&P 500 index. Finally, the choppiness of the trader's results is taken into account. Certainly a more consistent trader will be rated more highly than a trader with erratic results.
