| | It seems that the system is not accepting any more positions greater than 50. I send each position sized at 10, but the system stops when the aggregate position reaches 50. I can not find anything in the documentation. Any Ideas? |

I tried cutting back on the size of each of the positions. It seems that one position can not be made up of more than 5 parts.For example:
I send a BTO GBP/JPY at 1 lot at price A
The price moves against the position and I send another BTO at 1 lot.
I keep repeating to a maximum of 8 orders to total 8 lots(For my system), but the C2 system stops accepting them at 5 lots. Subsequently, when the close positive on my end, they end up negative on C2 (since only the first 5 lots were accepted).
My question is......
Am I understanding the issue, and can I complie a position with more than 5 parts? |

It sounds like your C2 system doesn't have enough hypothetical capital (that is, your C2 Model Account size is too small). I can check for you, but need to know which C2 System (and ID#) you are talking about. |

Thanks for checking. The system is Hudson Bay (59056722). I currently have it on test status, so I can work out the bugs between my EA and C2.
I think the account size is big enough since the buy power is at 88K. I am going to run the EA on a 5 min chart this evening to generate lots of trade opening and closing to monitor what it is doing.
Is there any way to see more of the recent trade signals than what is displayed on the page? I would like to compare my EA log to the C2 transactions.

Please give me an example of a specific order (time, and date, and symbol, and price) that you feel was delivered by your EA which was not properly received or displayed by C2. I can't see anything obvious in your trading record. |

Log isn't really going to help me. I just need to know a specific case of the problem you are asking me to solve. You say there are cases where your MetaTrader opens 5 units of a pair, but C2 is not opening 5 units. I cannot see any examples of this from my side. So it would be helpful if you can tell me at at what time / day / time zone this happened, and for what symbol, etc.

Here is what I am getting in the experts tab from C2. This was the last error
It started with this
2011.04.19 19:15:43 TradeMonitorBasic EURUSD,H1: Sending Open Signal for GBP/USD at 2011.04.19 23:15.
And then kept retrying until it stopped with this error
2011.04.19 19:16:48 TradeMonitorBasic EURUSD,H1: Alert: Order did not get sent to Collective2. The following error was return - Too many stops orders for symbol BARGBPUSDSPT
It looks like it starts getting this error after I have sent five positions for a specific currency.
I will close all of the outstanding trades both in the EA and on C2. Then I will try to replicate the error. So there all trades are clear as of the time of this post
Any Ideas? |

You can only have five working stop or five working limits at one time. (Working orders are orders that are posted but are not filled or cancelled.) This is imposed to support limitations at some of our broker partners. |

Ok,
So I am trying to get my EA to work within your system. Thank you for helping me understand how your system works. This is what I do in metatrader. Let us use buys for an example
When I find an entry I do an order send (buy) for 1 lot, then an order modify (to set the stop loss)
If the position moves against me, and another entry is triggered I do another order send (buy) for 1 lot, then another order modify (to set the stop loss).
Now I realize that the two positions are combined into one. Do I need to send the subsequent order modify? Will the stop loss I set first handle the combined trade?

Matthew,
It looks like when I set the stop loss is what is creating the problem. The EA manages exits anyway, and the stop loss is set as a fail safe. I am going to run it a while without the explicit stop loss and see how it works.
I am really glad that you allow the test system. This way I can work these bugs out without mucking up my history once it goes live. This system works really good, and I am sure that it will be a nice addition to C2.

It seems that I was right, that the order modify to set stops was causing the issues.
