Collective2 rates every trading system creator in its database and assigns a score between 100 and 1000.
In general, a rating above 500 is good. A rating above 700 is excellent.
Collective2 Ratings are recalculated daily based on the entire performance history in our database. The exact formula we use is proprietary, but there are several key variables that go into the Collective2 Rating.
One of the most important factors is the length of time we have been able to observe the performance of the trader.
Another key factor is the amount by which the trader over-performs or under-performs the S&P 500 index.
Finally, the choppiness of the trader's results is taken into account. Certainly a more consistent system creator will be rated more highly than a system creator with erratic results.
I have been following OS2 for several months and it works. Although there are losing trades, the system has been profitable every month.
The pros:- no drawdown yet, though the developer claims when it does happen, it will be very small. Easy to follow system. Instructions could not be clearer
The cons - a lot of trades which means checking your e-mail before the market opens and again before it closes because, depending on the futures/how the market is going, planned trades are often cancelled. Also because of the subscription expenses, trade commissions and auto trade costs, you need a large initial investment to make a decent profit.
Rebuttal, posted on April 21, 2011 by system developer:
Thank you for the honest review.
Regarding the planned trades that are cancelled, there are two main reasons for this.
1) An OCA has been issued the previous night that covers 2 or more securities. C2 will automatically cancel 1 or more associated buy orders after this first has been filled. The OCA feature is employed to help prevent margin from being used.
2) The buying power dips below a predefined level. When this happens, C2 will automatically "Cancel pending opening orders when Buying Power drops below" this threshold. The buying power restriction has been implemented to help prevent margin from being used.
System Description
This is a conservative long only system, which buys undervalued/oversold securities. All entry signals and most exit signals are EOD, however intraday exit signals may be incorporated to reduce exposure during volatile periods (weekend, holiday, news, etc.). As there is no shorting, may be suitable for IRA accounts.
System expectations: No performance can be guaranteed, and the actual real-world results may be vastly different from these expectations 1) High win rate: Greater than 60%
2) Low portfolio draw: Less than 10%
3) Low per trade risk: Less than 2% of portfolio value
3) Average trade duration: Greater than 6 days
4) Consistent and steady profit: Greater than 80% profitable months.
5) Average 6 open positions
6) No margin (See Update 5/31/11)
7) No shorting
8) EOD trade "entry" signals
9) High Correlation to S&P 500: greater than .4
Update 5/31/11: Occasional margin usage will be allowed
For a subscriber that wants to return to the position management that was used prior to 6/1/11 (using no margin) simply multiply the position size being used in C2 by 70% and restrict your portfolio to 7 positions.
An example may be helpful. Let’s say my C2 system and your account both start with 100K portfolio.
C2 will initiate up to 10 positions at $20,000 each.
You will initiate up to 7 positions at $14,000 (20K * 70%) each.

There is a free trial period of 5 days before you are charged.
You may cancel at any time before this (we send you an email at least a day before, to remind you, so there are no surprises.)
Then, after the trial, you will be charged $0 per month. (That is, we will charge you every 30 days - not when the month name on the calendar changes. So it's okay to sign up towards the end of a calendar month. You'll still get a full 30 days.)
