Common Questions about AutoTrading

Can I AutoTrade any C2 system?

Yes. Any system on C2 can be AutoTraded. The trading system vendor does not need to do anything special. In fact, he doesn't even need to know that you are Autotrading the system.

What account size do I need?

One of the cool things about AutoTrading is that you can specify how many dollars to allocate to each trading system. So, for example, if you only want to risk $15,000 on TRENDSETTER, then you can tell us that, and the trades placed in your real-life brokerage account will be "scaled" automatically.

Do I need to leave my computer on? Do I need an always-on Internet connection?

As of C2 AutoTrade Generation 2, all AutoTrading is "server based." That means you simply set up your AutoTrading here at C2, and then we take care of everything else. There's no need to run any software on your computer or have your Internet connection turned on. (If you want to use one of our Generation 1 brokers, such as Interactive Brokers or MB Trading, then this does not apply.)

How much does AutoTrading cost?

You simply pay your regular broker commission for any trade that gets executed by C2. Then, depending on which broker you use, and the type of instrument you are trading, there may be a small AutoTrade fee. Typically this is 1 pip for forex, $1.99 for futures, and $0 (that is, free) for stocks or options.

I want to "practice" before risking real money.

That's fine. Several brokers offer "simulation" or "demo" trading. This allows you to sign up for a broker account that looks and feels exactly like a real account, but instead of funding the account with real money, you will be given some amount of imaginary dollars. You can set up AutoTrading here at C2 using one of these demo accounts. When you're satisfied with AutoTrading, you can open a real live trading account. By the way, using demo accounts is absolutely free -- neither the broker nor we charge any fees. Currently, demo accounts are available at FXCM (for forex trading), IFX (for Forex), and Open E Cry (for futures trading).
