| | If you are developing or have developed C2-compatible AutoTrade client software, it's important that you make the following changes as soon as possible.
We are upgrading the Collective2 infrastructure. The result is that any hard-coded IP addresses you use in your software may not work forever. If you use a hard-coded IP address such as 64.68.145.X (for instance, when initially connecting to Collective2's server and requesting a re-direct IP), then please change your software to connect instead to the following address:
autotrade.collective2.com
As of the time of this message, we have no plans to change our IP address. Your current software will continue to work. But it's important that you plan to upgrade your software and have it released to your users as soon as you reasonably can. Contact me if you have any questions.

What is the C2 Score?
Collective2 rates every trading advisor in its database and assigns a score between 100 and 1000.
In general, a rating above 500 is good. A rating above 700 is excellent.
Collective2 Ratings are recalculated daily based on the entire performance history in our database. The exact formula we use is proprietary, but there are several key variables that go into the Collective2 Rating. One of the most important factors is the length of time we have been able to observe the performance of the trader. Another key factor is the amount by which the trader over-performs or under-performs the S&P 500 index. Finally, the choppiness of the trader's results is taken into account. Certainly a more consistent trader will be rated more highly than a trader with erratic results.
