| | Hello,
At 16:32 ET yesterday I attempted to close an open long position using a sell to close market order.
This market order has remained "working" and hasn't actually closed the position in my C2 system.
From what I gather, this position has been closed in some subscriber's accounts and in one case at least, a NEW long position has been opened (I would imagine this is to do with autosync being enabled).
I suspect this issue is due to the time I attempted to close this trade. Personally I am able to trade until 17:00 ET on a Friday although if there are subscribers with brokers which had closed trading before 16:32 ET this may explain why the market order remained "working" and did not go through as usual.
Of course the solution for me in future is to make sure I conduct all trading activity before 16:00 ET on a Friday.
I should point out I would rather I was unable to trade at all, rather than be allowed to trade at times when subscribers will become out of sync with the system on C2. Although I don't know if this is at all practical.
I would just like to make the C2 team aware of my experience and that of my subscribers. |

It should be fairly easy to implement a message saying that the market for the particular instrument is closed (when trying to place a market day order outside of market hours). In fact, this is the standard practice in all forex platforms. C2 does have a warning that forex market closes 4 PM EST.
In case of placing a GTC order, the order can be put in queue. I'm not sure that you placed a day order as opposed to a GTC order. So, if the GTC order is not filled right away, it will be filled when the market opens, Sunday evening. This may affect the profit depending on where it opens. This should not cause serious trouble unless one is scalping. |
