| | Hi everyone. It's been a while but I am still around and still proving myself on Collective2. What a crazy time for the stock market!
I was looking around C2 today and noticed that Bompus Stocks B was #3 for Profit Factor in "The Grid" for Stocks. #1 and #2 have not been around for very long so in terms of length of the system being active + profit factor + 90 day return %, we are #1!
Please add Bompus Stocks B to your analyst page
The more publicity this gets means the more motivated I will be to stick around C2!
I will be replacing Bompus Stocks A as I am no longer maintaining it or the dynamic system due to the high correlation to this system and some curve fitting I have realized. The systems replacing those will be very good though.. I promise! |

This is not a promising statement |

This is not a promising statement
Sure it is.. I realized very quickly that those systems had the possibility of begin curve fitted because I did not use the same backtest parameters which help me prove the robustness of the system. Bompus Stocks B was put through the test and did very well (average 60% compounded return each year since 2002). I did not test Bompus Stocks A or Bompus Dyn. Stocks because I had not finished developing my backtest program yet.
I believe admitting mistakes is promising. It is better to admit your mistakes and correct them quickly than to hide and watch a system go downhill fast.
Thanks for the comments though! |

"The systems replacing those will be very good though.. I promise!"
Backtested results rarely produce "they will be very good though, I promise."
This kind of statement first violates the CFTC and secondly sends chills down the spine. It reminds me of Maynard, in the movie "Cars":
Don't need to know where I'm going, just need to know where I been!"

Well.. amazing.. We'll just let it speak for it itself since you won't be speaking here again.. It looks like 49% of users on C2 ignore your comments as well.. Thanks for stopping by! |

What is the C2 Score?
Collective2 rates every trading advisor in its database and assigns a score between 100 and 1000.
In general, a rating above 500 is good. A rating above 700 is excellent.
Collective2 Ratings are recalculated daily based on the entire performance history in our database. The exact formula we use is proprietary, but there are several key variables that go into the Collective2 Rating. One of the most important factors is the length of time we have been able to observe the performance of the trader. Another key factor is the amount by which the trader over-performs or under-performs the S&P 500 index. Finally, the choppiness of the trader's results is taken into account. Certainly a more consistent trader will be rated more highly than a trader with erratic results.
